After 4 long months, I finally got the fucking Not Good™ video out. And at that point, I had been working on long ass video essays for about a whole year straight, I needed a break. And I had a whole list of short ass joke video ideas I had wanted to do but couldn't find the time for. Now, I had thought was the time to work on some of those ideas. That one video in particular I had only gotten the idea to do a few days into December, that one video inspired by the contemporary jolliness of the season, that one video would end up becoming Limp Bizkit | Candy Cane (Official Audio).

Heading into it I knew exactly what I was going to do. I would take Hot Dog (A song notorious Freddie D says bad words), and replace each and every single one of them with jollyposting Christmas themed words. So then I brought in all of the jollyposting video I had in my collection, removed the background audio via the finest AI converters available, found other Jollypost compilations online, exact same process. For everything else I just used the Countik TikTok voice generator.

It was around this point that I got the idea to do a bit more to it, to make it a true Jollypost edit. I would add Christmas bells all throughout the song, sink that shit up with the drum and bass tracks, and while shit may not have sounded as great as it once did in my head, I still think they do add quite a bit in changing the true feel of the song. Hell I even sampled in some fucking xylophone sounds for the pre-shorus.

Surprisingly, shit only took me like a week to finish, it was by far the shortest turnaround time for any video this edit intensive. And after having spent most of 2024 with massive holes in the upload schedule, it felt really nice to get 2 entire videos out right before the year ended.

Looking back, Limp Bizkit | Candy Cane (Official Audio) is nowhere near my favorite video on this channel, I still think it holds up. It is a competent video that succeeds quite well at what it achieves to do. It's some alright shit.
